PLEASE REVIEW THE LATEST PROGRAM MESSAGE WITH IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING FALL SPORTS - CLICK HERE

  • Every player must have their sports physical on file with the EHS office BEFORE tryout start Aug 17th - your daughter will NOT be allowed to tryout if this form is not completed and on file at the office!  Sports physicals on file must be good for 3 years after the end of the fall season (after state championship).

    • 2020 Update: Expect a note in July on an extension of physicals already on file if player played in Middle School and has their physical on file with district 196.

    • If player has not done a sports physical, they WILL need have one done and have an electronic copy on file at high school BEFORE Aug 17th - start of tryouts.

  • Registration for the fall season through the high school fee pay is also required prior to participating in tryouts.

    • 2020 Update:  A new fee pay system is being put in place and registrations will be delayed in 2020.  Look for registration for fall sports at the end of July / early Aug

  • Summer Camps are a great opportunity to play with the team and work with coaches prior to tryouts - see Important Events page for dates on the summer camps & the key dates going into fall season.

  • Once teams are formed after tryouts, schedules, team/coach communications will be done through TeamSnap.  Prior to the season communication is done via the program wide email distribution list.  You can sign up here.

  • We have a tentative mandatory parent meeting scheduled for 8/24/20 after the teams have been selected.  In addition to a program wide presentation by the Board President and Coach Shari, each team will have a break out session to select a team parent to coordinate the team.

  • APPAREL - The apparel store will open in mid-July to order accessories and fanware.   NOTE:  if your player makes the JV or Varsity Roster, there are certain apparel required by the team so that the team has a uniform dress code.

    • In addition to the apparel, varsity players have the option to have their picture taken for a "life size" individual player banner which is hung at the stadium during the season.  Cost is around $80.

  • BOOSTER CLUB DUES - annual Booster Club fee is also due by the meeting - estimated fee for 2020 is $150 (all grades).  Booster fee covers costs of equipment, uniforms, busing, team events and all other misc expenses.

    • School Fees are also due prior to tryouts - please use the school fee pay (see registration note above for 2020).   School fees ONLY cover field costs and referees for games. All other costs are covered by the booster club.

    • Game admission collected at varsity games (known as "gate" fees"} is required and controlled by MN State High School League and are used to cover MSHSL expenses (post season play, official training, awards, etc..).

  • FUNDRAISING - all participants in the soccer program are expected to participate in fundraising.  This helps to keep our booster fee at a low level.  This includes a Fundraising Letter (Direct Solicitation Letter - DSL) at start of the season, Cub Bagging, and other fundraising opportunities.  Fundraising covers about 50% our our expenses and the booster fee covers the other 50%.

  • OFFICIATING - In high school, all teams below varsity generally just have 1 center ref - no AR's on sidelines.  This is mainly due to ref availability and costs.  The board has offered to help pay for AR's for JV games in previous years but no ref's we're available.  Note - PLEASE RESPECT THE OFFICIALS - WE HAVE VERY FEW OF THEM.  If you have an official at your game, consider that very lucky!

    • 2020 Update:  many of our refs also older so there may even be more of an issue with official availability.  Be prepared for games that look more like a scrimmages.
